Some time after opening her own business in 2010, owner and lead stylist, Kristen Ewing, recognized the need for stunning design, radiant color, and exceptional technique in the Vista area. In 2016, Kristen opened the doors at Lumiére Salon; a luxury-style salon nestled just east of north San Diego County.

At Lumiére, we pride ourselves on making sure that all stylists remain up-to-date with the latest methods in hair coloring and cutting, keeping your hair as healthy as possible. Our expertise covers a wide range of services, including: balayage, fashion colors, healthy hair treatments, special occasion styling, smoothing treatments, and more. Additionally, we offer low maintenance coloring options, which cuts back on follicle damage and the time spent at the salon for you.

Unlike other salons, a visit at Lumiére does not end when you walk out the door. Our stylists are committed to educating our guests and giving them the tools and knowledge to keep up with their hair care at home. As part of our services, we will spend the time customizing an at home hair regiment for you to follow, helping you receive the maximum benefits of your newly styled hair.

Kristen is a color correcting expert ~ and I am proof of that after having a terrible color experience elsewhere. She explained to me that it would be 2-3 sessions to complete the process and get the results that I wanted. I love that she explained what to expect and has made me love my hair again! I am writing this review a week after getting my hair done by Kristen, and a week too late. I cannot say enough about her! Not only was she thorough, spending 4+ hours on my color correction, she was the sweetest! Kristen is knowledge about new trends and stays up to date with her technique. I had brassy, all over color from the last stylist I went to. It took time, let me tell you, but she went at it. She did a balayage look for me, and corrected the poor color job done by my last stylist, with an amazing ash blonde. If you are nervous about color, this girl is a master at it. She listened to what I asked for and gave me exactly that. She used a natural shampoo, which is a plus for me. She also used a product called Olaplex, that made ALL the difference. I left with super silky hair. Though she was having an emergency, she fit me in ASAP, which is something I can truly admire when doing business with someone. She cares about her work and makes her clients feel great. I hit the jackpot finding her!
